It’s been a little over a year since we last talked about Appswarm Inc (OTCMKTS:SWRM). It is only recently that the stock has started to perk up and caught our interest again. After dropping to as low as $.008 a share, the stock has been on a slow and steady climb off the lows. Taking a deeper look, we see if the stock can overtake its 52-week high of $.11 a share sometime this year.
First up, here’s a little background info for those that are not familiar with SWRM. AppSwarm is a technology company specializing in the accelerated development and publishing of mobile apps and other software platforms for gaming and business applications and seeks to acquire symmetric business opportunities. AppSwarm partners with and assists other development firms in technology development, business management, and funding needs.
The current excitement surrounding SWRM pertains to its DeliverySwift app. DeliverySwift is an On-Demand logistics last mile delivery platform that acts as an intermediary between merchants and prospective buyers who wish to get products from local merchants delivered to their doorstep. DeliverySwift’s focus is direct to consumer deliveries for such products as groceries, furniture, pharmacies, Cannabis dispensaries and small bulk job site materials based on local driver transport capacities.
I Heart Canna Deal
DeliverySwift just signed a deal with I Heart Canna to utilize the DeliverySwift platform for their cannabis delivery service in Northern California. Under the agreement, DeliverySwift will provide all of the backend support via its DeliverySwift technology to help I Heart Canna grow their business model as well as comply with all upcoming track and trace laws.
Track and Trace Laws
California’s Marijuana Enforcement Tracking Reporting Compliance (METRC) requires technical expertise for growers to provide for a real-time tracking system for their cannabis inventory to comply with state law requirements. The Track-and-Trace system, or something known as “seed to sale,” is designed to track the movement of cannabis and cannabis products from the cultivator all the way to the retailer. DeliverySwift solves this problem as DeliverySwift’s technology offers the ability for delivery companies, dispensaries and growers to track their shipments in real-time with specific ID numbers, or QR codes to any location utilizing the GPS function of the DeliverySwift platform.
Last Mile Solution
Companies like Amazon.com and Wal Mart are focused on reaching their end-user customer as efficiently as possible. DeliverySwift offers a real solution for stores seeking to increase last mile delivery options, while also increasing overall customer satisfaction.
DeliverySwift, which operates through a fleet of local drivers, offers the ability to provide ‘same day’ deliveries when merchants and customers reside in the same location. DeliverySwift will also be able to offer select ‘delivery time slots’ for a convenient delivery option to the consumer.
The DeliverySwift mobile tracking feature helps to address the 45% issue of late deliveries as customers can track directly where their delivery is, at any time, directly from their mobile phone.
With only 19% of merchants offering same-day delivery service, DeliverSwift could quickly become a solution for retailers seeking to improve their last mile delivery chain, while also improving customer satisfaction.
With 40% of customers classifying delivery services as a “must have” when purchasing food and grocery products, DeliverySwift will embark on targeting local mom & pop shops to larger grocery chains into integrating the DeliverySwift solution to their last mile delivery chain.
Currently trading with a market cap of $3.4 million, SWRM is an exciting name among small caps. The stock has been a big runner in the past for us at Insider Financial and we like how the stock is currently acting. All it takes is a major deal with a major retailer and the stock could be off and running. We will be monitoring and keeping our subscribers posted.
