Last week, we covered Amfil Technologies Inc (OTCMKTS:AMFE) as part of this coverage. We haven’t had and major updates from the company since we took at look at it and normally this would mean we'd put it on the backburner until we were ready to update our thesis on some fresh input or inputs.Normally, that is.This week, however, we've come across something that we think shareholders (and anyone thinking of picking up a position near term) should know. It's nothing concrete, but it's worth highlighting nonetheless. For those that missed our previous coverage, check it out here to get a bit of background on this company. It's essentially a holding company with a few different operational subsidiaries, but for the purposes of this discussion, we're looking at one primarily: a recreational café/bar type subsidiary called Snakes & Lagers and its sister brand, Snakes & Lattes. The company is a recreational outlet, as mentioned, and it's got a couple of locations open (each of which is generating $3 million plus revenues annually) and a third set to open up this year. It's also, however, recently expanded into the tabletop gaming space. The USP of the locations that are already open, and the planned franchise rollout, is allowing clients to play a variety of board games as they eat or drink. During the current quarter, management has built on this USP to start distributing board games domestically in Canada (as well as a few international locations) and – as per the most recent announcement – is leveraging its locations' game designer nights to start publishing games in house and distributing them internationally. It's the distribution of already available games we're interested in specifically here.Back in May, the company announced it had picked up the Canadian distribution rights to Cards Against Humanity. We probably don't need to introduce this game to readers. For those new to it, it's a card game that has essentially been the best selling tabletop game for the past half decade across most major outlets – online and brick and mortar.Second only to Cards Against Humanity is a game called Exploding Kittens. This is, again, a card game, developed and distributed by Elan Lee, previously Chief Design Officer for the Xbox at Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) and Matt Inman, a cartoonist and designer has nearly 4 million Facebook fans of his highly successful digital cartoon site TheOatmeal.com.Exploding Kittens is the most successful ever Kickstarter campaign for a crowdfunded game and, as of late last year, estimates suggest the game had generated more than $50 million in revenues. This week, the two announced they would start distributing their second game, a game called Bears vs Babies, via a second Kickstarter campaign here and the game's Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) account here. Here's the Tweet:

Basically, the company is starting to ship today after raising more than $3 million on Kickstarter from more than 85K backers. Now take a look at this quote from an early June Amfil update:

"Snakes & Lattes has been awarded exclusive Canadian distribution rights to yet another massive game title that is currently one of the most sought-after games in the industry, expected to come to market this month after a wildly successful Kickstarter campaign late last year. Full details of this game title will be announced upon their approval and the game's official launch in Canada."

There's a very good chance that, while neither entity has confirmed it yet, Snakes & Lattes has the Canadian distribution rights to Bears vs Babies. Remember, this is the follow-up to a game that generated $50 million in revenues for its creators. Amfil as an entire company is valued at around $50 million right now, and we're just talking about one deal from one of its subsidiaries. Not convinced?Take a look at this post from Snakes & Lattes' Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) page last year:Here's something to ponder. Their Kickstarter is already exploding.... Is world domination next? The company was promoting it late last year – it's far from unreasonable to assume talks were already underway at that point regarding distribution.Anyway, the point here is that this thinly traded company is going to get a sharp uptick on the news if it reports it has the above-described distribution rights. As a near term play, then, this could be a quick turnaround profit ahead of the release. We will be updating our subscribers as soon as we know more.
