Automatic Data Processing (NASDAQ:ADP), a provider of human-resources and payroll services, Wednesday reported fiscal Q1 adjusted earnings and revenue above analysts' expectations and reiterated its forecast for fiscal 2015 revenue growth. For the quarter ended Sept. 30, ADP's net earnings slipped to $295.2 million, or $0.61 per diluted share, from $328.6 million, or $0.68 per diluted share, a year earlier. Excluding discontinued operations, ADP's earnings per diluted share were $0.62 in the latest quarter, up from $0.55 in the prior-year period and surpassing the $0.60 expected on average by analysts polled by Capital IQ. Automatic Data Processing (NASDAQ:ADP) noted the increase in EPS from continuing operations came on fewer shares outstanding and a lower effective tax rate than a year earlier.Revenue climbed to $2.57 billion from $2.36 billion a year earlier, slightly topping the Street's estimate of $2.55 billion. The company said the revenue growth was "nearly all organic, driven by net new recurring revenue from ADP's HCM solutions, combined with an increase in worksite employees served by ADP's Professional Employer Organization." ADP said it expects diluted EPS from continuing operations up 12% to 14% compared with $2.58 per share in fiscal 2014, which includes an expected benefit of $0.02 per share resulting from incremental share repurchases funded by the $825 million in dividend proceeds ADP received as a result of the spinoff of its Dealer Services business. In late July, it hadn't given a GAAP earnings forecast, but guided for growth of 11% to 13% from its adjusted $3.14 in fiscal 2014.The company reiterated its expectation for fiscal 2015 revenue growth of 7% to 8% from its fiscal 2014 revenue of $10.3 billion. That implies expectations for fiscal 2015 revenue of about $11.02 billion to $11.12 billion. Analysts recently were projecting $11.06 billion. It warned that for Q2, "difficult expense and earnings comparisons are anticipated," noting "increased investments in innovation which accelerated in the second half of fiscal 2014 and will continue into fiscal 2015, as well as higher selling expenses because of the easier compare with last year's new business bookings, are expected to result in additional expense of about $30 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2015."Revlon Inc (NYSE:REV), a cosmetics company, reported Q3 earnings that were higher than a year prior while revenue fell short of the single analyst estimate. Q3 earnings were $0.28 per share, up from $0.18 per share a year prior, and revenue was $348.2 million. The single analyst estimate on earnings was $0.45, but it's unclear if this is comparable; the Street view for revenue was $470 million, according to Capital IQ. Revlon Inc (NYSE:REV) trades in a 52-week range of $22.12 to $35.14, with shares having closed up 2.8% Tuesday.JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd.
