Omnicare, Inc. (NYSE:OCR) reported non-GAAP net income of $64.8 million, or $0.94 per diluted share, beating the Capital IQ consensus estimate of $0.92 per share, and up from $0.88 per share for Q3 2013. Omnicare, Inc. (NYSE:OCR) also reported that total revenue of $1.61 billion beat the consensus estimate of $1.60 billion, up from $1.52 billion from the same quarter last year. On a GAAP basis, OCR had net income of $0.61 per share versus a net loss of $0.65 per share Q3 2013. Looking forward to FY 2014, OCR raised the lower end of its earnings to $3.70-$3.72 from $3.64-$3.72. Capital IQ estimates FY14 earnings of $3.69. Fiscal-year 2014 revenue outlook remains unchanged at $6.3 billion to $6.4 billion with Cap IQ versus the consensus estimate of $6.39 billion. Shares of OCR are trading within a 52-week range of $53.38 to $67.49.Avery Dennison Corp (NYSE:AVY) reported Q3 financial results Friday, with EPS beating Street estimates and revenue in-line with the consensus of analysts polled by Capital IQ. Q3 net income rose 38% to $64.3 million, or $0.77 per adjusted diluted share, from $46.5 million, or $0.69 per adjusted diluted share, beating the consensus of $0.74 per share. Revenue rose 4% to $1.56 billion, matching the Street forecast.The maker of pressure-sensitive materials also narrowed its FY2014 adjusted EPS guidance for continuing operations to $3.00-$3.05, from a previous guidance of $3.00-$3.10, versus the consensus of $3.00 per share. Avery Dennison Corp (NYSE:AVY) also maintained a quarterly dividend of $0.35 per share, payable on December 17 to shareholders of record on December 3. Avery Dennison also announced it appointed Mitchell R. Butier as chief operating officer and president, effective November 1. Mr. Butier, who has been the firm's senior vice president and chief financial officer since June 2010 will continue to serve as CFO until a successor is named. AVY shares have a 52-week range of $40.58 - $52.24.Statoil ASA(ADR) (NYSE:STO) said Friday it won a permit to explore for oil and gas off the western coast of Australia. The Norwegian oil company said it will be the operator and sole owner of the license adding that it will use the permit to collect seismic surveys of the area for three years before deciding on its next step."This award adds another large acreage position with high-impact potential to our global portfolio, in line with our exploration strategy. This is an untested part of a prolific basin, offering significant upside potential," said Erling Vagnes, Statoil's senior vice president for exploration in the Eastern hemisphere. The offshore permit covers an area of more than 13,000 square kilometers, and is situated 300 kilometers off Western Australia, at a water depth of between 1,500 meters and 2,000 meters. Statoil ASA(ADR) (NYSE:STO) is trading within a 52-week range of $22.08 to $31.95.
