______
Hello Everyone,
The Nasdaq closed at a 2 year low today. We have seen several companies drop down to new 52 week lows and overall expectations lowered. Any good trader has to constantly adapt to new situations as no market, Bull or Bear will last forever. We come across great opportunities in all markets. With that being said, we have come across a very unique situation.
LASE just IPO’d on the Nasdaq on Sept. 30 and only has 7 trading sessions under it’s belt as of yesterday.
The company raised $15 Million at $5 a share. LASE is sitting under $2 right now which is not so great if you participated in the IPO but it certainly does make you wonder what would have happened if this one was rolled out in a different market setting given the revenues and fundamentals of the company. Regardless, one man’s loss has the potential to be another man’s opportunity.
LASE has just 4.75 Mill in the entire float right now. A good portion of that float has a cost basis of $5 bucks, which is over 150% higher than Monday’s close. This could be a major catalyst for a reversal under the right circumstances. Management is locked up for 180 days and put out a press release after the close today. Here is a portion of what was stated:
Wayne Tupuola, chief executive officer of Laser Photonics, commented: “While I can only speculate about the share price performance since pricing the IPO, I know that our fundamentals are solid, with strong revenue growth and profits. I also know the management team did not sell a single share in the IPO and has not sold any shares in subsequent trading.
“Our IPO provided us with the necessary funding to execute the initial phases of our growth strategy to disrupt the corrosion control market with our line of CleanTech laser cleaning products. I believe the sheer size of the opportunity, the disruptive capability of our current products and those in development, and our ability to execute will create significant shareholder value over time for our current and prospective investors.”
Even after the IPO it appears that management still has ALL their skin still in the game. That is important for shareholders moving forward.

LPC is in the early stages of revenue growth…

…but is already generating profits

Market Drivers
Tupuola continued, “Today, government entities such as OSHA and the EPA and labor unions have recognized the harmful impact on workers and the environment and are now applying pressure on companies that continue to use these out-of-date technologies. With our “Made in America” products, we believe we can offer superior alternatives to traditional abrasives, driving our financial performance and creating shareholder value over the long-term.”
1) LPC estimates its target markets for laser cleaning to be $46 billion in North America…

2) Environmental and Safety – Laserblasting is the safe, clean, efficient and affordable alternative to existing techniques
- Regulatory pressure from the EPA, FDA and OSHA to phase out existing cleaning using abrasives and chemical processes due to known environmental and health effects
- Labor unions and organizations are applying pressure due to the impact of traditional methods on the health and safety of their members
- Traditional methods generate a significant amount of energy and environmental waste that is eliminated by lower power Cleantech Laser Blasting
3) Increasing Demand for High Power Lasers
Application demands for higher power lasers have made these the fastest growing segment of the laser market, with a growing 44% market share.
Company-Specific Drivers
1) Cleantech Laser Blasting is highly disruptive
We intend to target new applications early in the development cycle and drive adoption by leveraging our strong customer relationships, engineering expertise and competitive production costs.
2) Cleantech Laser Blasting is a multi-market and multi-product approach
We plan to diversify our products and end markets to reduce risk.
3) Extend our distribution channels and reach
We plan to add distribution channels globally to extend our reach both geographically and within specific target markets, including automotive, aerospace, defense, energy and manufacturing. Additionally, we plan to expand our direct sales force and add key account managers for large customers such as Fortune 500 and government organizations.
4) Broaden our diverse customer base
We see a significant opportunity to penetrate existing customers further and add new customers to our existing base of Blue Chip customers. LPC CleanTech Laser Blasting products address the corrosion needs of multiple industries, including automotive OEMs (e.g., Daimler); manufacturing (e.g., Coca-Cola); shipbuilding and maritime (e.g., Norfolk Naval Shipyard); space exploration and aerospace (e.g., NASA); heavy equipment (e.g., Caterpillar); nuclear decommissioning and energy; oil and gas; medical and aerospace.

These are Class 1 products laser systems as designated by the FDA Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH).
Each system is engineered to meet or exceed the requirements for stand-alone laser systems as defined by 21 CFR 1040.10 under the Radiation Control for Health and Safety Act of 1968.
Quality
The manufacturing of every component and sub-assembly that is purchased is manufactured with a long-term serviceability guarantee.
Performance
Each machine comes equipped with their own software package that is tailored to LP hardware. This software encompasses a quality and image analysis for each task to ensure your jobs are executed properly. The Fiber Laser has a long-term lifespan with up to 15 yr depreciation as compared to 5 yrs with other systems. The machine will perform with consistent quality for a long period of time.
Range
Their products can perform a multitude of tasks. From laser engraving to laser marking and laser cutting, their products can perform all these applications. They also offer small laser marking OEM kits for integration into I/O automated assembly lines.
Price
The reason the company’s prices are competitive is that they have the best product structure. They are able to build their products at a low cost and would like to extend the savings to their customers. The new generation of laser Fiber products are fully equipped with our iSeries laser marking OEM kits which makes each laser system smaller, has fewer parts, and virtually no maintenance. With this type of structure, they are able to sell systems for what competitors are purchasing components.

LASE – A Major Market with the U.S. Defense Space
LASE has many big markets to take head on and one of them includes the United States government and the Department of Homeland Security!
Both have approved a variety of programs where lasers became an essential part of the present and future applications for Direct Parts Marking, UID (Unique Identifier), and deep engraving.
This resulted from the increasingly worldwide nature and importance of Direct Parts Marking, UID, and deep engraving during the manufacturing process for the purposes of traceability and production flow control, inventory control and renewal, service marks, product quality validation, and long-term product liability and reliability. In the private sector, a variety of government contractors elected to use laser engraving machines to comply with strict government regulations.
LASE has envisioned this opportunity and successfully introduced and delivered laser marking machines and laser engraving machines that are compatible with military standards while continuing to perfect the use and development of our laser technology.
Commercial And Defense Applications:
⦁ Small weapon identification, UID, Bar Code, Deep Engraving for such purposes as inventory, traceability, and renewal.
⦁ Handheld laser permanent marking on all stationary and removable items such as ships, missiles, airplanes, tanks, etc.
⦁ Real size templates and sheet metal cutting for shipbuilding, missile, and aircraft manufacturing.
⦁ Tool, Parts, Machine Decontamination, and Surface Preparation
